Chapter Chat - The Lonely Lake Monster - Haiku

This week we learnt about haiku and used this format to write our own! Most of us collaborated with a learning partner.
We also painted water colour images to go with our haiku - you can see them in class.

We have been reading The Lonely Lake Monster which is the book for Chapter Chat 10. We didn't complete a lot of the learning tasks for this Chapter Chat because we had our school production.
You can be sure we will be ready for Chapter Chat 11 though - The Wild Robot!

Describing what we can see...

Today we used Padlet to record our thinking about what we could see in an image. We are trying to use descriptive phrases and to record our ideas quickly.
We only had 3 minutes to complete this task - have a look and see how we did!
