The Stick - Pax

Hi bloggers, I'm Pax. This is my slide about Roz's home called the stick. It's for our chapter chat tasks. For our chapter chat task we had to make a hut for Roz. It took us a little while but we got there in the end.

We also painted water colour images to go with our haiku - you can see them in class.

We have been reading The Lonely Lake Monster which is the book for Chapter Chat 10. We didn't complete a lot of the learning tasks for this Chapter Chat because we had our school production.
You can be sure we will be ready for Chapter Chat 11 though - The Wild Robot!

Describing what we can see...

Today we used Padlet to record our thinking about what we could see in an image. We are trying to use descriptive phrases and to record our ideas quickly.
We only had 3 minutes to complete this task - have a look and see how we did!

Descriptive Writing

Kia ora everyone!
We have been reviewing descriptive writing in class. We have also been revisiting blogging - lots pf us have our own blogs now!

Here is Luka's writing - we used this as a model when showing everyone how to post their learning.
Luka has his own blog, so be sure to visit and leave him some positive feedback!

THE INVISIBLE SLICE

The  invisible slices name  speaks for itself. Although it sounds like it's only abilities are to turn itself invisible and slice with its long and sturdy tail like overgrown wing. It also can shrink to as small as a mouse and  spits lime acid it can slither ninety km an hour without stopping! And it’s as heavy as three blue whales!
